What is Feminism?

Muse and Feminism
Feminism is varied. Feminism is experienced differently by different women. Therefore, ‘feminists’ are a diverse group. There are many different feminist theories. The Muse collective does not subscribe to any one theory.
For Muse, feminism is about ending the oppression of women. Therefore, it is about challenging the systems and structures that discriminate against women – including negative stereotypes, myths, and popular opinion.
While Muse is an Aotearoa New Zealand feminist zine, Muse is part of a global feminist community.
Feminism is about re-creating the world so as to enable women to reach their full potential.
